Dhoni's decision allures Ponting's rude mind

The decision taken by Dhoni during the second test match of India versus England in Tent Bridge match, in which he had called back Ian Bell even after he was out, had made many people his fans. One such new fan is Australian player Ricky Ponting. In an interview to Daily Telegraph, he said that this decision by Dhoni has done good for the cricket.

According to Ricky Ponting, "Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a player who values the spirit of the game. He personally tries every time to take the best decision, whether it is in favor or not. He has changed a lot in his four years of captaincy, which is good."
He also backed his decision of calling Ian Bell back and said that this shows good future of the game of cricket.

Surprised Rahul Dravid announces retirement from One Day and T-20 cricket

The team selectors who had removed him from Indian team on the grounds of giving chances to the young players, have now retained him back in the ODI team. We are talking about Rahul Dravid. They have remembered him now when the team is in trouble. He has been included in the ODI and T-20 team against England. After some time of the team declaration, Dravid said that after this series, he will be saying goodbye to the ODIs and T-20s and will concentrate only on the Test matches.


According to the experts, the selection team under the head of K. Srikanth, has decided that the team is not doing well in the current series and that the presence of seniors will work like a boon for the team. It is to be remembered that Yuvraj and Harbhajan have been kicked out from the team owing to their bad performance and injuries. The five match one day series will commence September 3rd and the one and only T-20 wll be played on August 31st.

Chennai. Team India's star spinner Harbhajan Singh and all rounder Yuvraj Singh are out of the team for the One Day series against England due to injury. While the big news is that Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar are back in the squad. Today, the selectors have declared the team for 5 one day matches and a T-20 against England. The selectors have given preferance to the senior players of the team and as a result Mr. reliable Rahul Dravid is back in the one day team after a long time. Dravid has really proved his never say die attitude and the quality of not giving up by returning to the team after such a long time. It's a true party time for all his fans who have a deep faith and belief in him.

Despite of his injury, Indian pacer Zaheer Khan has been given place in the squad. Munaf Patel and Praveen Kumar have also been given a spot to share the pace attack with Zak. Sreesanth has not been selected in the squad.

Though the star all rounder Yuvraj Singh is out of the present series due to an injury and is all set to return home,he doesn't seem to miss any chance when it comes to entangling with his English counterpart Kevin Pieterson. Both are known for their steamy relation on field, but recently have been found nagging about on Twitter.

Pieterson, in one of his updates on Twitter expressed, "I see my mate @yuvsingh09 is out the Tests.. No more chicken & mushrooms or steak & ales for me now. Pity! They tasted good in Notts! ha ha," After this taunty web attack from Pieterson, Yuvraj without wasting any time replied him "@kevinpp24 hahaha..dont worry il be back with a new indian veg pie for you very soon !!"

The battle had started way back in 2008-09 series when Pieterson called Yuvraj a worthless chucking spinner and referred him with the term 'Pie Chucker'. Their relations are not friendly since then.

India shows sportsman spirit but England cheats : says Dhoni

Indian cricket team captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is very sad after the humiliating 319 runs loss against England, which has now put them on the verge of losing their world number one title. He is not feeling bad because of the team's bad performance but due to the face that the English team didn't show any trace of sportsman spirit.

After the match, he said "We did our best calling Ian Bell from the pavallion but it seems as though English team was not worth it. Their batsmen stay at the crease even if they know they are out. Is this their spirit of the game??"

On the question that India is not playing according to the number one title, he said "Yes, I agree. As we are talking of this series, we have been playing bad. We were missing so many things in our game." He also said that the team will fight back and the issue of their concern is the team's batting, which has been very wobbly this tournament.

Biggest Cricket controversy - VVS Laxman accused for using Vaseline on bat to trick review!!!

Nottingham. One of the biggest controversies of the cricketing history has aroused in the current India vs England test series. Team India's star batsman VVS Laxman is the main center of this controversy. Difficulty for team India increased, Sehwag out of first two test matches

Explosive opening batsman Virender Sehwag is out of the first two test matches out of the series of 4 test matches against England, starting from 21th July, 2011. But he will be available in the last two matches. The first two matches will be played in Lords and Trent Bridge respectively. On the eve before the starting day of the 3 days practice match against Somerset, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni told to media that they will regret Sehwag's absense in the first two matches because he is one of those players who has a great impact on the result of the match.

Sehwag was given a spot in the team declared on 2nd July for India's tour of England inspite of the fact that he has not yet recovered completely from his shoulder injury. ICC test rating of team India dropped even after winning the series

Dubai. Maintaing the number 1 spot is even more difficult than reaching the position. Who else can better understand this fact than the captain of the Indian Cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Even after winning the test series against West Indies by 1-0, India lost some points of the ICC test ratings. But the team is still on the top position.

Team India who reached West Indies without the lights of it's star players was required to win the test series by 3-0 for maintaining its 'superior' reign as the king of test cricket. But this didn't happened and due to this the rating of team India has fallen by 2 points and has reached 126. This means the difference between the rating of India and its close competitior England who is currently on the 2nd spot has decreased. And India's rule isn't anymore 'superior'.

According to the mathematics of the ICC test team ranking, if India would have defeated the Carribean team by 3-0, then its rating would have been maintained at 128 points. But due to a 1-0 victory India's rating has reached 126 points after dropping by 2 points. 

Sakshi Dhoni cooked food for giving treat to the team members

Dominica. The captain of the Indian Cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni was busy with Cricket even on the occassion of his first wedding anniversary. But his wife Sakshi Rawat Dhoni still somehow found out a way for celebrating this special occasion. Dhoni and Sakshi celebrated their marriage anniversary and Dhoni's birthday jointly in a special manner.


Their is a lack of Indian restaurants in West Indies. Therefore, on the occasion of their wedding anniversary and Dhoni's b'day, Sakshi took the help of the kitchen of hotel 'Fort Young' to give a treat to the whole team. Sakshi herself cooked Indian for the whole team in the hotel and this was the special treat for the team members.

The marriage anniversary of Dhoni and Sakshi was on 4th July. And Dhoni's 30th birthday date fall 3 days later to it, i.e on 7th July. Both the occassions were celebrated by the Dhoni couple with the food made by the hands of Sakshi. 

Getting out on 97 in the World Cup finals still hurts my heart - Gautam Gambhir

Kolkata. The sorrow of missing out a century in the World Cup final still makes the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team Gautam Gambhir sad.

Gambhir said that, "When my innings started, I didn't thoughtof it. But as I got step by step closer to it, my uneasiness kept on rising. Due to excessive nervousness, I was out 3 runs short from a dream century. Now, I feel that I have missed a very precious and great

thing."

It is a fact that Gambhir played an awesome innings of 97 runs in the ICC Cricket World Cup final match against Sri Lamks, which held on 2nd April, 2011. But he missed his century by

just 3 runs.

Just before the start of the England tour of India, Gambhir told to media that he will badly miss Virender Sehwag on ground in this tour. Gauti further told that he feels very relaxed and comfortable when he is batting with Sehwag.

"I really enjoy batting with Sehway. With his explosive baating from one end, he uplifts the pressure from his batting partner on the other end. When he is with me, I play my natural game. A lot of my big innings have come only because of Viru," Gambhir said.

Gambhir came to Kolkata for taking part in the 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) based Bengali game show, hosted by the former Indian Cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly.

Gambhir, who was unable to go on the current West Indies tour due to a back injury said, "I am preparing myself for the upcomig England tour. This will be very important for me and I dont' want to have any deregulation in my preparation. I expect that I will give my best in this tournament."

Manoj Tiwari will soon build a temple of Sachin Tendulkar and M.S Dhoni

Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari will build a temple of Master Blaster Sachin Tandulkar and the Indian World Cup Champion Skipper 'Captain Cool' Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his ancestoral village Atarwalia lying in the Kaimur district of Bihar.

In a press conference on Friday, Tiwari told that this will be the first temple in the world with god as cricketers. He even told that the construction of this temple will cost around Rs 3 Crore. Manoj further told that this temple will consist of posters of all the members

of the 2011 Cricket World Cup winning squad of India and this will be really amazing.

Majoj believes that both Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni provide such an eternal excitement and joyness to the people which can only be provided by god. That's why these cricketers are not only like god for him but for the entire nation and therefore he is keen to build such a temple.

Tiwari further told that a cricket stadium will laso be constructed near this temple and he will ask for the help of the government in the construction of it. He told that he is communicating with lot of villagers for giving their lands to fulfill this purpose and he believes that the farmers will cooperate him. He expects that the construction work of the temple will start soon.

Mukesh continued to tell his ideas and further told that he also has a wish to construct a hospital in this campus. On the topic of development of Cricket in Bihar, Manoj told that soon he will establish a cricket trust in Bihar, UP and Kharkhand for the development of young talents. The same trust will take care of the maintainance work of Temple and staudium.
